Advanced Calculations has a number of global settings that can be updated at WooCommerce > Settings > Product Add-Ons > Calculations.
Advanced Calculations settings
Here’s what each setting does.
Empty cell signifier
Sets the text shown to the customer when a lookup table returns an empty cell – for example, if a combination of inputs maps to a cell you’ve deliberately left blank, because that combination isn’t a valid/sellable option. Defaults to *. You can change this to anything you like, such as “N/A” or “Not available”.
There’s more information on working with empty cells here.
Disable Add to Cart button
If checked, the Add to Cart button is disabled whenever a lookup table returns an empty cell. Use this to stop a customer from adding a product to their cart with an invalid result.
Add tax to cell values
When checked, tax is calculated and added to every value returned from a lookup table, based on the product’s tax class. Leave this off if your lookup table values already include tax, or if the product’s price is taxed elsewhere in the normal WooCommerce pricing flow.
Optimize look up tables
Select this to limit the lookup table data loaded on a product page to only the tables actually referenced by a calculation field on that product, instead of embedding every lookup table on the site into every product page.
Optimize look up fields
This works in the same way as Optimize look up tables, but for the smaller configuration data that tells each calculation field which table to use and how to read its inputs, rather than the table’s contents.
