Occasionally, you might run into problems when you update your plugin. For example, you might see the following error message:
Update Failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
There are a couple of possible reasons for this error:
- The zip file has become corrupted. Please try going to your Account page and downloading the file again. You can manually upload this to your site.
- If you continue to see a problem, check whether there is a general issue on your site. You can do this by attempting to upload another plugin. If you are still getting an error, then you might be short of storage on your site. Please contact your hosting provider in that instance.
- It might be that a script error is being generated. Check that your site does not have
WP_DEBUGset toTRUE.
